Welcome to the inaugural Brilliance Horse Auction – a brand new company with one goal – to bring to the market twelve horses that we truly believe will become leading lights on the world show jumping stage. In other words, horses with brilliance in their DNA, in their show records and in their potential. 

The BHAC came into being when life-long friends and colleagues Pippa and William Funnell of The Billy Stud, and Chloe and Shane Breen of Breen Equestrian Ltd, were discussing dates for their own forthcoming auctions, to avoid any clashes in a very busy calendar. Why not join forces for two elite collections, held at two of the UK’s leading 5* horse shows –The London International Horse Show at Excel in December 2023, and to follow, at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in 2024. The UK is facing a unique set of circumstances following our withdrawal from the EU in 2020. It has never been more important for the rest of the world to see that we are open for business as usual. What better way to highlight the quality that we have on offer than as the eyes of the show jumping world turn to the FEI World Cup in London. So the idea was sown, and with the unbridled enthusiasm and technical expertise of the team at LIHS, preparations began for our first edition in London. Particular thanks must go to Simon and Nick Brooks Ward for their unequivocal backing for our vision. 

The team at TBHAC have carefully handpicked all of the entries in this collection. As well as drawing from those in our own stables we have also personally invited other trusted breeders, producers and owners from the UK and Ireland to put forward their stars for consideration. We are enormously grateful to them for allowing us the privilege of presenting their horses for sale. Above all, we have chosen horses that we are proud to stand behind and to sell under the banner of the Brilliance Horse Auction Company.
